This project reinterprets the material and structural character of Printer’s Row through a contemporary approach rooted in its architectural history. Inspired by the Chicago Athletic Association and the Monadnock Building, the design uses colored concrete and brick to express weight, depth, and load-bearing logic. Sun-driven massing, deep-set openings, terraces, and integrated planters shape environmental performance while organizing multiple programs within a cohesive, community-focused framework.
